Community Forums are open to the public. They can be informational, or experiential. We focus on issues specific to HIV positive men, but everyone is welcome—bring a friend. We’ll have an expert in the field talking to you about the latest information. These CLIs happen throughout the year so check back often to see what’s coming up.

Trainings
We have volunteer trainings that are available to men who have gone through the Positive Images Group Discussions and/or Individual Counseling.

Outreach Volunteer Training
We will train you to help Positive Images staff spread the word about positive men leading positive lives. You could find yourself at the Pride Festival, Sunset Junction, or at one of our local “gathering spots”. You can sign people up for a Positive Images Discussion Group. You can give other men accurate information about HIV. You can meet people, make friends, and become part of the solution. This training is 8 hours long during one full day.

Discussion Group Facilitator Training
We will train you to work with a Positive Images staff person to co-lead one of our Discussion Groups. We’ll teach you the basics of group facilitating. Groups meet during the evening once a week for three weeks. This training is 12 hours long and it’s spread over two full days. We require that you’ve participated in at least one Positive Images Discussion Group.
